The nature of THE CLIENT & THEIR NEEDS

An existing duplex that needed to be fully updated with a full story added to it.

Dig out basement to allow a better ceiling height for the basement living duplex unit.

Add a 2nd floor to maximize the floor plate’s efficiency.

An open main floor plan with the main bedroom unit located on this floor.

3 additional bedrooms on the 2nd floor along with an open gathering room.

Create a new for-rent, basement 2-bedroom living unit with an efficient, simple, inspiring, and light-filled space.

Design for an energy efficient “sweet spot” in costing design criteria since this is a for-profit project for a developer.
