COLLABORATIVE DWELLINGS
WELCOME
Departure Architecture specializes in the design of HOMES. We welcome the challenge of bringing unique situations to light by creating special homes with character, truth, and time-enduring qualities that perfectly fit your lifestyle.
THE NATURE OF GOOD DESIGN
At Departure Architecture, we’re passionate about designing sustainable site-driven homes. Our appreciation of Northwest life and materials comes through in every home we design. We create design solutions with integrated and seamless interior, exterior, and site elements, each responding directly to the owner’s desires, needs, budget, and context. When all these can come together in a harmonious way, a certain “rightness” occurs where we feel the home just belongs here. That’s our goal.
A COLLABORATIVE DESIGN PROCESS
To properly design and construct a home with today’s needs in mind, it requires a complete team, all working together toward a common set of goals. It’s about finding the right solutions for a particular project, and the homeowners, the architect, and a qualified general contractor each have a role to play in this quest. Concepts and ideas can be explored, analyzed, and decided upon in this quest, and each answer serves as a clue to the final solution.
PACIFIC
NORTHWEST ARTISAN
ARCHITECTURE
Based in the Pacific Northwest, our design aesthetic very much incorporates that feeling of our region into all of our solutions. Creating wonderful spaces utilizing locally sourced wood, stone, glass, and metals, each detail of each home is carefully thought out and crafted to complement and reflect the design concept and imagery.
INNOVATIVE
INTERIORS
From having a floor plan that flows purposely from room to room, to guiding your choices in flooring, lighting, countertops, and other surfaces, having an architect who designs with an eye toward your interior needs and furnishings will ensure a cohesive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing finish you’ll love to call home.
